We are now starting to develop blocking while doing simultaneous counter strikes. This is the ultimate in effectiveness since you are literally hitting your opponent while they are trying to hit you (unsuccessfully I might add!)
The redirection of your opponents arm and the throw downward should upset their balance thus bringing them down and exposing the back of their neck. Make sure your body and footwork move together in these motions.
